Prohibited Contributors to State Candidates

The following entities may NOT contribute to candidates for state office:

1. corporations and business entities not doing business in Washington state;
2. labor unions with fewer than ten members who reside in Washington state; and
3. political committees that, during the 180 days prior to making a contribution, have not received contributions of $25 or more from at least 10 persons registered to vote in Washington state.

Furthermore, RCW 42.17A.442 requires a political committee to receive at least $10 each from at least 10 Washington State registered voters before contributing to another political committee.
