The Public Disclosure Commission will launch a new reporting system on Dec. 17 for lobbyist employers’ annual reports, or L-3s.The updated application will completely replace the current L-3 filing system used to report a lobbyist employer’s lobbying expenditures made in a calendar year. L-3 reports are next due no later than Feb. 28, 2025, for the previous calendar year.
The PDC launched a new filing system for lobbyist monthly reports, or L-2s, earlier this year.
Drafts created in the existing system will not be migrated to the new system. If you have any saved drafts, they will not be transferred to the system, and you will have to start over in the new system.
Existing drafts for reports due in 2025 can be submitted prior to Dec. 17, provided the data is complete (for example, if the employer has no lobbying to report in December). Consider this option carefully: If there is a chance you will need to amend to include additional activity, you might have to re-enter part of your report in the new system.
As we get closer to the launch date of Dec. 17, the PDC will send out more information and instructions for the new lobbyist employer annual reporting system.
