Commission seeks comment on changes to interpretation on campaign loans

The Public Disclosure Commission wants to hear from the public about proposed changes to an interpretation on record-keeping and reporting requirements for the receipt, repayment, and forgiveness of campaign-related loans.

The proposed revision to Interpretation 14-01, due for consideration at the commission's Feb. 28 meeting, is intended to clarify and simplify the guidance as well as reflect changes in the law that have occurred since its adoption.

Interpretations are intended to provide guidance by informing the public and the regulated community of the commission's interpretation of applicable rule and law. To review the current versions of the interpretations under review, see the PDC's interpretations page.
